Last week Houghton Mifflin hosted an awesome book launch party for Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick at Ten Degrees in downtown Manhattan. It was a ton of fun, and it gave me a chance to hang out with all my favorite people, as well as making a bunch of new friends, like Luann Toth from School Library Journal, seen above, with the rather stoned-looking author, and Jack Martin, from the New York Public Library, who emceed the YA buzz panel at BEA.

SLJ did a little write-up of the event, as did Publishers Weekly. I had a blast, and I want to thank everybody who came out and said hello -- and especially to my amazing publicist, Rachel Wasdyke, for setting the whole thing up, bringing the squirt guns and college essay questions, hooking up the open bar, and making everybody feel a little crazy (in a good way) in NYC.
